Wildlife photography has long been at the heart of my creative journey. From the common to the incredibly rare, I find immense joy in capturing animals in their natural habitat—especially those elusive moments that few ever witness. One of the most unforgettable experiences of my career was photographing the rare Black Leopard in Kenya. To see such a magnificent creature, let alone photograph it, was nothing short of extraordinary—a true privilege and an adrenaline rush I’ll never forget.
Over the years, I’ve travelled extensively in pursuit of wildlife imagery, constantly challenging myself to find fresh perspectives, unique angles, and fleeting behaviours that tell a deeper story. The quest for “that shot” never truly ends—it’s what keeps me inspired and always looking ahead to the next adventure.
One image I still dream of capturing is a lioness gently carrying one of her cubs. It’s a tender and iconic moment, but incredibly difficult to witness, let alone photograph. Whenever I arrive at a new location, one of my first questions is always, “Are there any lionesses with small cubs in the area?” Because sometimes, it’s all about being in the right place at the right time—and being ready when that moment arrives.
Last year, one of my long-held goals came to life when I photographed a leopard drinking at a waterhole. I’d envisioned the scene for years: the cat’s tongue just touching the surface, ripples dancing outward from the contact. To finally capture that exact moment was deeply satisfying (see image below).
